Imagine for 300–400 years people with blue eyes were oppressed [slavery, Jim Crow] etc. Then at the end of 300–400 years, people with brown eyes see the terrible state of the communities affected by systemic oppression and abuse, sitting in their communities built by blue-eyed folks, and they say: oh, gosh, you know what? people with blue eyes are like us. let’s forget about trying to make things right because that would be eye-ist.
