As a pedestrian on city sidewalks, I ask: if you want something motorized — buy something you can safely use on the road.

Sidewalks are not for motorized vehicles. Pedestrians with disabilities need to feel safe on sidewalks.

The problem isn’t street laws it is a failed expectations for how to use a product: the e-scooter.

Let’s be reasonable about the e-scooter: not safe for the scooter operator on the street, not allowing adequate access for pedestrians on sidewalks.

Keep motorized vehicles (and bikes) off of sidewalks.
