As much as I appreciate efforts against mass incarceration, there are very good reasons churches, and other non-taxable entities for that matter, are forbidden from political speech.

I’d love for any pastor, priest, imam, rabbi, etc. for an organization which is non-taxed who violates this rule to have the organization’s tax free status exempted.

I’m strictly separation of church and state, and the state funding organizations, even indirectly through tax benefits, is anathema to democracy in my opinion.

That being said: any private citizen or taxable organization who wants to go against mass incarceration, the prison-industrial complex, or the police state has my stamp of approval.
