It’s the 1860s, and two papers are running satirical cartoons:
One paper mocks African-Americans, at that time also slaves.
One paper mocks slave owners.
I’d say one was right and one was wrong.
What’s definitely wrong is the notion that all views should be tolerated equally and given equal air time.
Whats also wrong is the notion that editors of all papers make good judgments because they earned their place as editors.
When wealthy people who are in the wrong buy a mouthpiece, it doesn’t suddenly make them right.
