Bitcoin is not:

an equity. You don’t own part of a company when you buy it.

a debt. Nobody owes you money when you buy it [ask those who bought at around $20k USD]

a currency. People don’t really do transactions in it.

That leaves:

a speculative gambling token, just without all those nifty odds the lottery gives you.
