I agree about the influence of big oil in creating today’s network of laws and structures which make us a car culture.
I’m a systems person, so I want to make sure anyone considering removing basic mandated parking for living spaces be very careful: it is bad for the working poor and, as a result, creates more sprawl and is therefore bad for the environment.
Doing so is very good for construction firms and developers, who I’ve found are the deepest pocket backers of such zoning changes.
Want to change the rules? I do.
Do it equitably.
