I get concerned whenever a school endorses a methodology which differentiates students by parental income.

Even if students themselves aren’t buying swag, even if their parents are, it is an educational tool which allows richer kids to look cooler than those of lesser means.

Non-uniformed students get to differentiate themselves with clothing, but the school isn’t actively endorsing this.

The pay model here is classist.
