I just read an article on why it takes so long to count votes.

Answer: a lot of human interaction, mostly in shockingly inefficient and error- if not fraud- prone ways.

It is completely non-standard across all regions.

Compare that to a well-audited voting application with airtight security, redundancy, standard across all zones, and with a paper trail backup (and the ability to check your vote weeks later): I’d trust the system over somebody delivering a stack of paper votes in his Chevy to somebody’s house which happens to be the vote counting center.
